Participating in the Africa Evidence Week 2021
The AEN secretariat will be coordinating Africa Evidence Week 2021 and will make its communication platforms (website, webinars, YouTube, Twitter, and other social media) available to organisations participating in the week to promote their activities.
1) What does content submission cost?
It's free to participate in this celebration of the use of evidence across Africa, and partnering organisations can decide on the type of content they would like to contribute. There is an application process and all content relevant to showcase and promote the state of Evidence Informed Decision Making(EIDM) on the continent, specifically highlighting the involvement of Africa’s decision-makers in Africa is welcome.
2) When is the deadline for registration?
Content submission is open on the 09 July 2021-20 August 2021. All the content required must all be submitted by the deadline.
3) What happens after I’ve registered my event?
Once you've submitted your content submission form, you will receive a confirmation email.
4) Who should I contact if I have an issue with content submission?
If you have any issues related to the AfEW 2021 participation, please contact the event Secretariat via ace@uj.ac.za.
5) Will I be required to submit any supporting documents?
You will be required to upload a logo of your participating organisation, as well as content detailing your events/ activities you will be hosting during AfEW 2021.
• Agree to use AEN and AfEW 2021 logos for the purposes of promoting all events/activities related to the week;
• Agree with terms and conditions;
• Give the AEN consent to promote your work during the week.
6) Participating in AfEW 2021 means agreeing to:
Participating in AfEW 2021 is open to all members of the AEN – whether newly joined or long-established. Coordinate your own content, and sharing required information timeously with the relevant AEN programme officer.
• Obtain institutional permission and agreement to participate in and represent your organisation/s during AfEW.
• Share content you are legally entitled to distribute.
7) During AfEW 2021, the AEN secretariat agrees to:
- Publicise through all our communication channels participants’ contributions through an integrated programme of work (together we are greater than the sum of our parts);
- Make webinar software available for use by those contributing to the programme;
- Ensure that attendance to any AfEW event is free;
- Use the week to support increased awareness for and visibility of EIDM in Africa;
- Showcase African EIDM organisations’ and decision-makers’ work;
- Promote increased collaboration and network-building between individual organisations; and
- Host two webinars on the work of the AEN itself.
