Some of the content has not been published before and is unique to this specific workshop.

Discover important developments in event design

Event management is a dynamic process influenced by a host of external factors that are in a constant flux of change. These can be attributed to technological advances among others, but also the understanding of human needs and triggers for engagement. Important developments are in the domains of neurosciences and understanding its impact on event management and the creation of immersive experiences.

Benchmarking event management tools and approaches

We have different levels of responsibility for delivering events, whether directing, managing or co-ordinating in either large or small team environments. Scalable tools such as event project plans, strategic budgets, event project risk plans, stakeholder engagement and activation plans are some of the tools demonstrated and shared in this workshop in the process to achieve successful event outcomes. More than a 100 documents, tools and templates are shared with workshop participants.

Learning from peers

We learn best when observing practical approaches to real world scenarios from practicing event directors and managers. That is why this workshop is facilitated by a business events strategist with more than 30 years’ experience on 400+ events in 18 international destinations and recently been awarded PCMA Global Meetings Executive of the Year and best Conference and Events Company by the Southern African Association for the Conference Industry (SAACI). We also learn from each other when fellow workshop participants share their experiences and responses to incidents and scenarios. Many known business leads have been generated among fellow workshop participants.
